Taking Reclusiveness to a Whole New Level

  • Sep. 6th, 2008 at 6:50 PM
While I pride myself on being fairly 'available' to everyone that enjoys watching my work, I've been noticeably absent from just about everything since this quarter started. It's not just been the animation homework, but some of the other classes as well.

If anyone watches my blogspot, I've been posting there the work I've been doing for a group project;
http://amonomega.blogspot.com

I've been drawing a LOT but obviously not that much for myself or for commissions. What i do squeeze out are usually warm up sketches or something to stay loose, gestures, studies, that sort of thing. I'll scan them, but it's still like "eehhh..."

I go to class and then come home to work and spend some time on the phone with my lady. Lather, rinse, repeat. I haven't touched my own work in what feels like forever. Two pieces slipped through the cracks;
http://ookamikaze.deviantart.com/art/Angry-96214615 in my bout of rage for a week, and just barely slipping through the cracks of more work I was doing.

http://ookamikaze.deviantart.com/art/Too-Much-Love-96736137 doodle that went too far, and a poor excuse for an anniversary gift sketch, in my opinion :<

Work work work work. I do live with my folks while I'm at college (only two more quarters to go) but even my mother commented on how she barely sees me. I live in the same house! That's not really good.

If it hasn't been school it's been me. Not sleeping too well and not having energy otherwise to do anything else except keep me from becoming a slug.
I exercise frequently now more than ever (as in, I've devoted more energy to keeping up with routine than I ever have before) to offset all the sitting I do. It's great. I look great and feel great, but still.

Once this quarter ends, It'll be fantastic. I head up north to see my gal over the break and for some much needed recharge time.

So. A long apology for my absence, it's not just the online world.
But I guess the good news is that this chocolate milk hasn't made me sick yet!

Miss Scarlet costume!

Hey everyone! I am wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to get a nice sassy red dress (I am being Miss Scarlet for Halloween). I am not very crafty (so I can't make it myself) and I want to try to keep it under $100. Help! I can't find the right dress! Thanks.

Hi everyone.
It's been a while. ;)

I've recently completed a new ensemble for Julien, and wanted to share.

Photos this way... )

If you click the photos twice, you can see the sparkle close up.

Here is a link to my construction page.
And this is the link to Julien's portraits page.

Enjoy!

A painting thumbnail for a commissions for an Elder. He asked to have a visual reflection of his name, along with his clan, in one painting.
Even though I am UBBER busy, I am so doing this for him. :)

Which reminds me- this week was the first week back. Ubber busy crazy, but ubber good.
And tomorrow I'm going ot be posting with more pics and info about life and stuff.

I also have to sift through all my icons and make a re-arrangement. I think I'm going to give 3 icons per every fandom I have to make a grand total of 5 ubber-love fandoms. Only problem is, I also have to find emotion-related images. And that's hard when most of your beloved characters are ubber-serene, or ubber-serious.

I'm using the word "ubber" way too much in one post.

That's so ubbergay. XD

Apparently that D&D ad I posted a while back was not the only one to feature Gary Gygax's daughter in a leopard-print swimsuit...

I had a pretty good time on the last weekend of summer (sigh). Friday night we did nothing, just lounged around and watched rented DVDs. I couldn’t get motivated for housework no matter how much I wanted it done. BF worked on a project so that consumed his attention.

On Saturday we had a chiropractor appointment and we brought Baby along. On the way back from the appointment I stopped at the pet shop I order food from and put in an order and got some samples of a similar food that I’ve been adding to the mix since the supplier of the previous food I was using is having trouble keeping up with demand. It looks pretty good so far and I’ll see how Baby likes it when I add it in: http://www.horizonpetfood.com/Products/cat_legacy.html

We spent a fair amount of time in the pet store as people played with Baby and she chose a new toy (BF bought it for her). She was pretty worn out by the time we got home and went to sleep. I also had a nap on the couch. I woke up and tackled the dirty dishes and scrubbed the kitchen counter before leaving for [info]sheighnah’s party. I picked up [info]viking_girl_242 and we had a nice chat on the way there. Unfortunately my eye started bothering me as the evening went on and I started to get sleepy again. We played Operation before [info]viking_girl_242 and I left.

On Sunday BF and I went back to The Ex to see the things we missed last time. I accomplished all the goals I had for that day:

o I saw the animals and pet a goat, and a llama (plus a cow and a calf and an RCMP horse)
o I ate barbecued corn on a cob
o I saw the Arts & Crafts building and the Quilt of Belonging
o I got a Thai massage (I’m a new fan)

I had a good time with BF. It was nice to get out and do something different with just the two of us. I think we need to have dates more often.

On Monday we did absolutely nothing. In retrospect I wish we had gone out and enjoyed the weather, but it was just another lazy day, and I haven’t had too many of those this summer since we’ve been so busy. I did put away the clean dishes and the two loads of clean laundry that needed ironing and folding. I played The Sims 2 for a while and we watched a few episodes of Heroes Season 2 on DVD, and that was it.

Okay I am incredibly frustrated and why? because no matter how many templates I've made they're all ended up messed up in some way or another! Ahhhh! would someone be willing to let me trace theirs?
Please note that this livejournal is no longer active! I have removed all friends/communities etc. as well for this reason. Please remove me from your friends lists!

For art, please friend lj name: klandagi_art

Thank you.
It was never our plan to give up red meat, it just kinda happened. You see about a month and a half ago I decided that we should try to eat a little more healthier then we already do, which pretty much meant (much to Davids dismay) more fish and less red meats. Well in that time frame we have had red meat 4 times and honestly I think its something that we just won't be having again anytime in the near future.

For my birthday we decided we would grill up a few steaks, well the next day we both just felt gross, tired, bloated and just not as good as we had been feeling, we ate the left overs that night and felt the same way the next day, we also found that we just weren't craving it like we use to. We put two and two together and decided that it just wasn't that important part of our diets anymore.

Now I know I will still be dumping ground beef (well Buffalo) into my Spaghetti sauce, and I am sure there will be times we want to eat just a burger, but honestly its like I don't even miss it like I did the first time we tried to go all out Veggie (we aren't at that place yet)

Though it does seem to be the trend right now on my friendslist ;D
